My meditation on/during this drawing:
Adsorbing power from the feminine Shakti, Shiva rhythmically produces blissful existence (Sat-Chit-Ananda). When depicted concretely, Shiva's four arms bring us two key technologies (fire and a drum), as well as two paradoxical hand-gesture messages ("fear not" and "man is blind"). One leg of Shiva is raised in the throes of the dance; a pure embodiment of kinetic consciousness. The other leg remains planted, and tethers our corporeal experience to the formless and inexpressible Isvara - well out of the scope of the present drawing. In this abstract rendition, an armless (or body-less?) Shiva is depicted as self-organizational, autopoetic, and emergent.
