This is an Ant. Instead of Six legs, it has Four. Actually, instead of any legs at all, it has a capital letter "I" to symbolize the role of the"individual" and "collective" "I"dentity in the experience of the Ant. At all levels, the fractal "I" is made up of infinite multiplication and addition signs to represent the countless deterministic interactions that culminate in stochastic behavior at the organismal level. Since adding a negative number is subtraction, and since multiplying by a fraction is multiplying, the binary toolkit of addition and multiplication allows all other possible functions to be derived. So why choose "+" and "x" over "-" and "÷"? Subtraction and division signs…
